August is a great time to come to Panama, it is cooler, greener and easy to find budget accomodations, in boquete Nomba and Hostel Boquete are excellent choices, In David, Purple House Hostel and Bambu Hostel for backpackers, Bocas has amazing hostels for all ages including the newer Aqua Lounge, Cayo Zapatillo and more..
For the rain forrest head to Fortuna about an huor outside of David in the national park Lost N Found Panama, inexpensive and a breath taking place, great for birders. Email with me questions
