I would like to know what the price is to rent this out for the summer, and also do I have to get my own insurance on it while I'm driving/renting it?

85 usd a month, at todays VND thats 1, 500, 000, I can get the same bike for 1, 100, 000. You are way to dear.

Cheap does not mean you are buying the best product Steve...the extra amount you are talking about could count for much more advantages. I had better buy an expensive bike that will last me a longer time than a cheaper one that will make spend more time in the garage than I do cycling. Of course there are a few instances where you can get an item at a much lower price

Items that are expensive doesn't necessarily means that it is of much higher quality than that of those cheaper items.Go for items that priced reasonably and pay attention to quality as well. Also you do not have to spend much on branded items when there are much cheaper ones with same quality. You just have to be patient in seeking for that perfect piece. Remember we are now in economic crisis, we have to be sensitive in what we buy.

That is exactly the point I am trying to make. If cost is the only thing in your mind then it could mean that you will compromise the quality and standards. Of course in most cases, not everything that is quoted as expensive can be taken to be good..just do your research.I would assume that a big majority of the Vietnamese population heavily relies on public transport while a minority own cars.
