Introducing Ho Chi Minh City In the core of the Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is second the most important in Vietnam after Hanoi. It is not only a commercial center but also a scientific, technological, industrial and tourist center. The city is bathed by many rivers, arroyos and canals, the biggest river being the Saigon River. The Port of Saigon, established in 1862, is accessible to ships weighing up to 30, 000 tons, a rare advantage for an inland river port.
Ho Chi Minh City is still more commonly referred to as 'Saigon', despite the official name change in 1975. Located in southern Vietnam, on a huge bend in the Saigon River, it is the economic centre of the country. The Communist government, who took control of Vietnam in 1975, tried to suppress the entrepreneurial tendencies of the Saigonese and the city went through the economic doldrums until recovery in the 1990s.
Saigon, the former capital of South Viet-Nam, is famous for its colonial architecture, tree-lined boulevards, and exciting bustling nightlife. The French laid out Saigon's broad, tree-lined boulevards and erected imposing villas and public buildings like the romantic Hotel de Ville (now the seat of the People's Committee), Notre Dame Cathedral, and the central Ben Thanh Market. Please read more about Ho Chi Minh City and discover more of this wonderful place on the link below.
There are so much said about this fabulous city. I can even visualize the place. Well those posts would certainly have tackled much on Vietnam ho chi minh apartment. And so travelers and tourist would find it easy to get one unit if they find themselves finally in Vietnam. Anyway, i hope more info can be kindly shared in this forum, as they say, the more the merrier.. Good day..
What to see in Ho Chi Minh City Perhaps the best way to see the city is on foot. You might start at the Museum of Vietnamese History, then walk down Le Duan Street to the Notre Dame Cathedral, then on to the Reunification Palace. The Ho Chi Minh City Museum is just down Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street from the Palace. Continue down Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street to Le Loi Boulevard and then turn left to get to Ben Thanh Market. More on the link below.
What do you have in your place? 2 bedrooms, 2 wc, 1 chicken, 1 living room? Is that 1 chicken? you are selling with your home a chicken? Or do you mean to say a kitchen? Hope you can come back in this forum and clear things up ms. Tuyen, i'm a bit curious coz it is not a simple typographical error because you spelled the whole 'chicken' correctly. thanks..
it is strange that Tuyen really spelled the chicken correctly, maybe she was referring to chicken but then let us come into our senses and use our common sense, i think she is referring to her kitchen here. But of course, i think and feel the same way and hope that the original poster would come back and clear things up. But that property is nice, hope you had posted a photo
If you are really that interested in purchasing a home in the ever famous Ho Chi Minh City then try searching at some real estate listings in the net. Well, there are lots of real estate listings but make sure that you are reading the updated ones though. Well i certainly got interested with the original poster's post. Why? Because of the chicken word, he he. Anyway, hope he would come back and clear things up.
I don't know much about properties in Vietnam, because I was lucky to stay in a small hotel there, but the thing that I will never forget was their weird food. I had a chance to try a fried spider and a grasshopper! You should go there and try!
Spider and a grasshopper for dinner? No thanks dude. Not particularly my cup of tea, but I am sure that its great though, no. Undoubtedly so as well, certainly.
Just thinking of those insects to crawl in front of me makes me shout, and thinking of them on my mouth, I think i will eventually loose consciousness. I heard of those insects being candied for kids. I wonder how those candies would taste like. But i certainly would not taste one of those candies, no no. But for those people who loves to eat exotic foods, good luck to your tummies.
Those reactions are not surprising knowing that foreign people to come in Vietnam are not accustomed to those kind of foods. However, if we just acquaint ourselves with those kind of food stuffs, i think we will not react that way, right? But if I were to come in Vietnam, i would surely try those exotic foods, that would be exciting and fun to try. That would complete my Vietnam adventure.
When yo go different countries, make sure to taste their local delicacies, this is one good way of getting to know a certain country. Happy trip and enjoy.
Who would visit a country without tasting the local dishes, that is just wrong.
Just because you may think it's wrong doesn't mean it isn't done. One should definitely try out the local cuisine, but that does not mean that many do it, or are even interested in doing it.
Well, I must admit that I myself would not also try to attempt eating such thing as insects. But for some eating those insects would have some good effects on their bodies that is why they keep on eating them. And some insects by the way are rich with protein and iron. I just cannot recall what insects are them. But anyway, there is nothing wrong with eating insects just as long as you can take it.
