Vietnamese history is something to consider as they managed to used tunnels that were dug under the earth in order to fight against the invasion during the war against the Americans.
I recall the movie "Tunnel Rats" whenever I think about these Vietnamese warriors. They absolutely did not take any nonsense during the war and though sometimes they may have seemed a bit scared, they surely knew that the initiative was always to attack with intent to kill.
